But if I tell you you might laugh...

I am in trouble… I am supposed to be writing down all my goals for the next 12 months. Business goals that is.

I am supposed to be breaking it down into 3/6/9/12 months so I can break it down further into manageable chunks. It sounds straight forward, but I feel overwhelmed.
I have goals for Doncaster Therapy Centre, and I have financial goals that I would love to hit. Why is it so difficult to put down on paper my hopes and dreams? Well it’s exactly that. I am laying out myself for others to scrutinise and pick over. To possibly be told that I’m aiming too high or too low. How are you supposed to know whether you have got it right?

Those goals are a direct reflection of your relationship and belief in yourself. When you feel confident and self-assured, the sky is the limit. When you are full of self-doubt and tired, everything seems to much.

Who do you think you are?

Why do you think you deserve this?

Who is even going to be interested in what you have to offer?

There are more qualified people out there, what can you offer? Do any of these sound familiar?

There is something called imposter syndrome and it can affect us in any area of our lives. Like one day, someone is going to call you out for being a crap parent or an ineffectual lover. Run a business, pah! You might as well quit now!

In reality most of this sabotage comes from ourselves. Whether you want to jump out of a plane (I highly recommend this), run a marathon or be your own boss, then what is stopping you?

If you want to drop a dress size or feel brave enough to get on a plane, what is stopping you?

Take up singing, an art class or ariel yoga, what is stopping you?

As I sit here writing out my goals for the next 12 months, I ask what is stopping me?

The answer? Well we both already know!  Stop holding yourself back, aim for the stars and keep going until you hit them.
